DANISH TAX RETURN - GOOD OR BAD?
Many of us have the feeling of uncertainty and mix of good and bad when it comes to the Danish tax return.
Do I have to pay more money or get money back from SKAT?
The time has now come to check the result of Danish tax for 2017.

OVERPAID DANISH TAX|GET MONEY|
If you have overpaid Danish tax on your Danish Tax Return, SKAT pays overpaid tax back to your "Nem-konto" if active.
NOTE - If you do not have a Nem-konto SKAT cannot pay back money to you.

UNDERPAID DANISH TAX|PAY MONEY|
If you have underpaid Danish tax (paid to little) on your Danish Tax Return, SKAT sends invoices to your E-box.
NOTE - SKAT includes up to DKK 20.325 in next years taxes and remaining part is invoices to you and to be paid in August, September and October. Interest applies on all amounts.

ENSURE CORRECT TAX CARD|AVOID SURPRISES|
If your Danish Tax Return results in you having to pay more in Tax this is most likely because your Tax Card has been wrong resulting in you paying to little in tax during the year.
NOTE - Changing job, moving address, changes in private loans etc. can result in needed changes to a Tax Card. This is a manual process and you have to log on to your E-tax system and make the necessary updates.
